Earthquake strikes near Coachella

LOS ANGELES - A preliminary 3.8-magnitude earthquake was reported Saturday morning near Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was reported just after 9 a.m. and had a recorded depth of 11.7 km.

There have been no reports of injuries or damage so far.
