Elementary school student surprised by sweet military homecoming
WALNUT, Calif. - A second-grader at Collegewood Elementary School said all he wanted for Christmas was for his sister to come home from deployment.
His wish came true when his sister, Kathryn, walked through the school's doors in her Battle Dress Uniform to the front of the stage where other students, educators and parents had gathered.
Anton Carlos wrapped his arms around his big sister who he hadn't seen in over a year.
Both shed a few tears. Their parents watched the emotional reunion.
Kathryn will be with the family through the Christmas holiday. She's training to be a nuclear operator for aircraft carriers and submarines.
