Fire breaks out at Disneyland Resort restaurant
ANAHEIM (CNS) - A fire broke out just before noon Sunday at a restaurant at the Disneyland Resort, Anaheim firefighters said, but it appeared theme park operations were not affected.
Guests were escorted out of a nearby hotel as a hot pizza oven's exhaust vent caught fire, said a park employee who was not authorized to speak for the Disney company.
The fire broke out before noon, and smoke was visible from nearby streets.
The City of Anaheim put out a radio bulletin on police scanners that ramps from the Santa Ana (5) Freeway to Disneyland Drive and other nearby streets were blocked off at 11:55 a.m.
No details were given by the city fire dispatchers, and all queries were directed to Disneyland officials. They were not immediately available.
Twitter and other social media indicated normal, crowded operations inside Disneyland and California Adventure.
