A police chase suspect had escaped from the hospital, prompting a desperate search for the man.
FONTANA, Calif. - The search is on for the man accused of running out of the hospital after he was involved in a police chase in Fontana that ended with an innocent driver killed.

The suspect, who was driving a white Jeep Cherokee, led the California Highway Patrol on a chase after refusing to pull over to the officers.
At one point during the chase, the suspect's Jeep smashed into a red Ford Mustang, killing the driver who had nothing to do with the chase.
After the crash, the Jeep driver was taken into custody at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.
