Gas prices in LA are highest since September 2015

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose for the 20th consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.54.

The average price is 5.3 cents more than one week ago, 11.9 cents higher than one month ago and 52.8 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 39.3 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price increased seven-tenths of a cent to $3.503. It has risen 17 of the past 19 days, including a half-cent on Saturday.

The Orange County average price is 5.2 cents more than one week ago, 11.6 cents higher than one month ago and 49.8 cents greater than one year ago.

It has risen 38.7 cents since the start of the year.
