NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Police have arrested a teenager in connection with an attack on an 11-year-old girl in Brooklyn. Detectives are still looking for one more suspect.
Authorities on Wednesday charged a 14-year-old boy with reckless endangerment and assault in the attack, which happened on December 18, 2018.
The NYPD released video and photos of the assailants ahead of the first arrest.
The video shows the girl standing still as one of the boys sprays water in her face and the other throws a plastic bottle at her face after hurling a backpack at her. They then punch her in the head numerous times and run away near Nostrand Ave. and Avenue Y. One of the boys can be seen in the video laughing during the assault.
The first individual is a male, Hispanic and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater, blue jeans and gray sneakers.
The second individual is a male, black and was last seen wearing a burgundy sweater and dark colored pants.
