Gunman's ex-wife speaks with authorities in Cerritos

CERRITOS, Calif. (FOX 11) - The gunman in Sunday night's mass shooting in Las Vegas has been identified as 64-year-old Nevada resident, Stephen Paddock.

More than 50 people were killed and more than 500 injured by the lone gunman shooting from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino before he killed himself, according to authorities in Las Vegas .

The gunman's ex-wife, Peggy Paddock, lives in Cerritos and our cameras were there as local authorities spoke with her early Monday morning.

A neighbor tells FOX 11 that Peggy sent an email to friends and family alerting them to what was going on. She just wanted people to know that it was her ex-husband who was involved in the shooting, according to the neighbor.

At this point authorities say she is not being investigated in connection to the shooting.
