Here's when and where the U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds will be flying over Los Angeles honoring healthcare workers

The flight path for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flyover honoring COVID-19 frontline workers in Los Angeles and other parts of Southern California was released Thursday.

They will begin in Laguna Beach around 1:35 p.m. Friday and reach the Corona area around 2 p.m.

From there, the Thunderbirds will fly over Moreno Valley around 2:10 p.m. and reach the Los Angeles area around 3:05 p.m. The flyover will finish in the Santa Clarita area.

“It is an honor for our team to salute the countless Californians who have committed to keeping the communities safe during this difficult time in our nation,” said Lt Col John Caldwell, Thunderbirds commander and leader. “We hope to give onlookers a touching display of American resolve that honors those serving on the frontline our fight against COVID-19.”

Residents will be able to see the Thunderbirds from their homes, but officials ask everyone to maintain social distancing guidelines, and not flock to public spaces or hospitals to view the event.

Viewers of the event are encouraged to post photos and videos of the flyover on social media with hashtags #AmericaStrong and #Thunderbirds.
