Heroes Among Us: Chatsworth company loans mobile solar trailers to hospitals
CHATSWORTH, Calif. - A high-tech entrepreneur is using his knowledge to help in the fight against coronavirus.
Eric Lundgren, the founder of BigBattery, Inc., which is based in Chatsworth, has loaned ten mobile solar trailers to help power COVID-19 triage centers at local hospitals.
Repurposed lithium-ion batteries from old Teslas and other electric vehicles power the trailer.
BigBattery is also using its supply chain in China to help provide millions of pieces of medical supplies such as face masks, face shields, and full-body gowns to hospitals and other centers in need of medical supplies.
