SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Instead of staying open strictly for takeout and delivery service, two local restaurant owners started a sponsored meal program to feed our first responders working the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Matt and Marissa Hemer, the owners of Draycott and Olivetta, wanted to help our first responders during the coronavirus outbreak.
They started a GoFundMe, which has raised nearly $20,000.
The meals are being delivered daily to places like Cedars Sinai, UCLA, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Providence St.John’s Health Center, and the Santa Monica Fire Department. The donation program is being run from their two restaurants.
