High tide, surf cause major flooding in Newport Beach
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - High tides and high surf have caused major flooding in Newport Beach.
Officials say there is over a foot of water in some residential areas near 8t Street and Balboa.
SkyFOX above caught a sail boat in distress, being pushed around by waves. It is not known if anyone was injured.
Waves even rolled into parking lots.
Officials say they will spend the next few days cleaning the area up; luckily no damage has been reported.
