Homeowner shoots, kills apparent burglar at home in San Pedro: LAPD
SAN PEDRO, Calif. - A homeowner shot and killed an alleged burglar at their home Thursday in San Pedro, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
According to LAPD, officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress around 7:15 a.m. When officers arrived at the home, located in the 2800 block of S. Carolina Street in San Pedro, they found that the homeowner shot the alleged burglar dead.
Investigators said the burglar tried to enter the home from the front, then went behind the residence and attempted to enter the home through a window. That’s when the homeowner approached the suspect, believing that the suspect was armed, and shot the suspect dead.
