One killed, another injured during shooting in Huntington Park
LOS ANGELES - Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman in Huntington Park.
The shooting occurred Monday, December 16, around 9:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of 60th Street.
When officers arrived on the scene they located a woman sitting in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was declared dead at the scene.
Officers then located a second gunshot victim at the 4000 block of Slauson Avenue in the city of Maywood.
According to investigators, the second victim, only identified as a man, was with the woman when the shooting occurred and ran from the scene immediately following the shooting.
His condition is unknown.
It is unclear if investigators are searching for a suspect.
The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information was released.
