In Depth: Diane Warren, Matt Atchity

Diane Warren talked about her 11 Best Original Song nominations, and how she handles her disappointments when she doesn’t win. She spoke with In Depth's Hal Eisner about how much she likes the song nominated for this year: “I’m Standing With You” and the movie that inspired it.

Warren then goes into her background and her songwriting method; she discussed some of the competition for this year’s “Best Original Song.”

Later on in the show, Hal is joined by Matt Atchity. Atchity discussed Warren’s chances to win an Oscar. He also talked about some of the best picture, best actor and actress nominees, and discussed the “Oscars so white” controversy, and some of the notable “snubs” in the nominations.
