Inflatable holiday décor sparks fire at California home
Officials are reminding residents to be mindful of their holiday decorations this season after an inflatable outside a Yountville home caused fire damage.
Cal Fire said crews from Napa County Fire Station 12 extinguished a small fire from an inflatable decor at a home on Washington Street Sunday morning.
"Holiday lights and decorations bring joy, but they can also pose a fire risk. Don’t overload electrical sockets, be sure to check that no light cords are frayed or broken and never string more lights together than the manufacturer recommends," officials said.
Officials did not specify exactly what caused the fire to ignite in the decor nor report any injuries.
