Jenni Rivera interview reveals singer received death threats before untimely death
LOS ANGELES - In a never-before-aired interview, late singer Jenni Rivera talks about a secret she hoped would never be revealed.
Mexican radio personality Pepe Garza played the interview for two of her children. In it, Rivera revealed that she received multiple death threats via email, phone calls, and message boards.
Rivera even mentioned one specific instance when the FBI got involved because of threats that she would be kidnapped and killed if she attended a concert in Mexico.
The 35-minute video was posted on Garza's YouTube channel, "Pepe's Office," on Monday.
The interview with the late singer was recorded on July 27, 2012.
The Long Beach-born Latina superstar of banda music died in a plane crash in Dec. 2012.
