Kidnapping suspect arrested in Rosemead

An alleged kidnapping suspect wanted by the US Marshals was arrested in Rosemead after a standoff at a home in South San Gabriel. It wasn't totally clear how the suspect was able to get into a completely different home before making a run for it.

Authorities arrested an alleged kidnapping suspect in Rosemead Wednesday after an hours long standoff at a home in South San Gabriel. But how the suspect got to Rosemead while surrounded by a massive police presence is unclear.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was called out to a home in the 800 block of Muscatel Avenue in San Gabriel around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday after hearing about a suspect who was fleeing from US Marshals. 

A massive law enforcement was scene in the area for hours. According to officials the man had barricaded himself in the home since the morning.

Kidnapping suspect barricaded inside San Gabriel home

Police in San Gabriel are in a standoff with an alleged kidnapping suspect.

Just before 10 p.m. though, the suspect was seen jumping out the window of a home in nearby Rosemead and running through neighbor's yards.

Officials said the suspect got from South San Gabriel to Rosemead by crossing the 60 Freeway.

SkyFOX was over the scene as the suspect was seen jumping out of a window before making a run for it. Law enforcement eventually caught up to him and took the suspect into custody on Highpoint Street.

The suspect was seen being taken on a stretcher into an ambulance before being transported to the hospital. His condition was not immediately clear.
