Neighbors react to deadly Lakewood shooting

Residents in a Lakewood neighborhood react after a triple shooting in Lakewood over the weekend.

One person was killed and two others were hospitalized after a shooting in a residential Lakewood neighborhood, officials said. 

The shooting was reported at approximately 8:15 p.m. Sunday at Alburtis Avenue and 207th Street, police said. 

Los Angeles County deputies from the Lakewood Sheriff’s station responded to the neighborhood after several 911 calls about gunshots being fired. 

A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene by LA County Fire paramedics and two additional victims were transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.

3 shot, 1 dead in Lakewood shooting

Three people were wounded and another person was killed after shots were fired in Lakewood.

Homicide detectives were seen speaking with neighbors and collecting shell casings as part of the investigation. 

There was no further suspect or motive information immediately available.
