LAPD motorcycle officer involved in Downtown L.A. crash

LOS ANGELES - Emergency crews are on scene of a vehicle crash in Downtown Los Angeles involving an LAPD motorcycle officer.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Friday in the area of E. 14th Street and San Pedro Street.
The officer was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, according to LAPD. The officer's identity was not immediately known.
Aerial video from SkyFOX showed an SUV with front-end damage. The driver of that SUV was arrested for possible DUI, said LAPD.
The immediate area was closed off to traffic due to the investigation. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
