LAPD officer accused of attacking girlfriend three times
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - A Los Angeles police officer has been charged with three felony counts for allegedly attacking his girlfriend three times since April.
Ricardo Hernandez, 33, is set to be arraigned September 12 in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom on three counts of injuring a girlfriend, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
The criminal complaint also alleges that Hernandez caused great bodily injury to the woman.
The woman suffered serious injuries during each of the alleged attacks-- the most recent of which allegedly occurred on Wednesday, according to Deputy District Attorney Deann Rivard.
The Los Angeles Police Department has released a statement saying:
Hernandez could face up to 10 years and four months in state prison if convicted as charged, the District Attorney's Office said.
