LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - If a murderer had not intervened, Tyree Rowe might be a major entertainer now, instead of a victim of the violence that plagues Southern California.
Rowe was a tremendously gifted young guitarist who had a recording session scheduled the day he died.
Instead, Tyree was gunned down at about 6:30 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2012, as he drove along 77th Street near Grammercy Place in his small, black Mercedes. The two men inside his car apparently ordered Tyree to pull over and then shot him.
A moment later, a brown minivan pulled up next to Tyree's car; the two men who had just murdered him got into the minivan and left.
The Rowe family believes that one of Tyree's old friends was involved in his murder.
There is a substantial reward pending for the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for Tyree Rowe's murder.
