LA's Most Wanted: The 1998 disappearance of Louise Ayala

By Tony Valdez

Louise Ayala was 64-years-old when she vanished from Lakewood on Monday, July 6, 1998 when she didn't attend her scheduled piano lesson.

Ayala was an active person who enjoyed her family and friends as well as traveling and photography. Her disappearance was so abrupt and so complete, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives have theorized that Ayala was the victim of foul play.

Ayaka sometimes used the name Louis Ayala Brabenec.

Although 17 years have gone by without a hint of what happened to her, investigators continue to hope that someone will come forward with a critical piece of information that will enable them to clear this case.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Paul Delhauer at the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
