LA's Most Wanted: Who Killed Alfredo Buenobaca?

Whoever it was that murdered Alfredo Buenobaca was genuinely serious about ending his life.

The killers took a huge risk by shooting him in broad daylight in a neighborhood where there were plenty of potential witnesses. Unfortunately, none of them have come forward to provide the information detectives need to make an arrest.

There's no doubt that the witnesses have been silenced by intimidation.

On Nov. 28, 2014, Alfredo was crossing the intersection of Elm Street and Poinsettia Avenue in Compton at about 9 a.m. A dark colored SUV stopped with Hispanic males inside. Shots were fired and the SUV sped away, leaving Alfredo dead.

Murder is nothing new to Alfredo's family. Two of his brothers were also killed on different occasions as the result of gang violence.

Anyone with information about Alfredo Buenobaca's killers is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Detectives are emphasizing that anonymous calls are not just welcomed but encouraged.
