Las Palmas Elementary School on lockdown amid threat investigation

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. - Las Palmas Elementary School is on lockdown as authorities investigate an unspecified threat made to the school, officials said Thursday. 

The lockdown at the school at 1101 Calle Puente started about 10:45 a.m., Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Frank Gonzalez said.

Deputies are on scene. 

No other details were immediately available.
