LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - Yet another fire broke out in Southern California, this time in the Antelope Valley.
The "Lidia Fire" broke out on Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, an area between the San Gabriel Mountains and the Sierra Pelona Mountains on Wednesday afternoon.
Cal Fire said crews are shutting down the areas impacted by the Lidia Fire to public access. At last check, the fire burned over 348 acres with 60% of it contained, according to Angeles National Forest.
During a press conference Wednesday night, LA County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said forward progress has stopped.

Evacuation orders and warnings:
- The following zones near Acton are required to leave the area: LAC-E085, LAC-E088, LAC-E123
- An evacuation warning, not order, has been issued to the following zones: LAC-E078, LAC-E081, LAC-E121, LAC-E122
Road Closures
- Soledad Canyon Road between Agua Dulce Canyon Road and Crown Valley Road
The following facilities are offering shelter for families looking a place to let their pets and animals stay:
- Castaic Animal Care Center: 31044 Charlie Canyon
- Lancaster Animal Care Center: 5210 W Ave, Lancaster
- Palmdale Animal Care Center: 38550 Sierra Hwy, Palmdale
The news of the Lidia Fire comes as crews work on handling several other fires in LA County. The Palisades Fire has devastated homes and businesses in the Malibue and Pacific Palisades areas, in addition to posing serious threats to Santa Monica, Brentwood and West Los Angeles. The Eaton Fire torched the Pasadena and Altadena areas and the Hurst Fire has burned parts of the San Fernando Valley. A fourth fire – the Woodley Fire – was reported near the Sepulveda Basin on January 8. So far, no evacuations have been ordered for areas impacted by the Woodley Fire.
