Violent multi-car crash shuts down intersection in South L.A.
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - A violent multi-vehicle crash has shut down the intersection of Western Avenue and Vernon Avenue and surrounding areas in South Los Angeles as first responders work to clear the wreckage.
The crash occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. At least three people were reportedly taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
It's not known how many others were injured. An investigation into the cause of the collision involving four vehicles, one overturned on its side and on fire, another hitting a nearby pole, is underway.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area.
