Man arrested after seen on video throwing concrete brick through windshield

A homeless man has been arrested for vandalizing a vehicle in Pomona. 

The man was caught on video throwing a chunk of concrete through the windshield of a car.
 
26-year-old Jacob Makwana was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon and throwing an object at a moving vehicle with
intent to cause great bodily injury, the Pomona Police Department stated. He is being held on $110,000 bail.

Officials say the driver was near a homeless encampment in the area of Towne Ave. and the 60 freeway around 10:30 a.m. Aug. 9 when “he observed
what he believed to be illegal dumping being committed by Makwana.'' 

According to police the victim immediately began to video record the incident. That’s when Makwana got upset and ran towards the vehicle. As the victim began to drive away Makwana threw a large boulder, striking the hood and windshield, police said. 

The driver was not injured.
