Man dies after being pinned against home by SUV in Palmdale
PALMDALE, Calif. (FOX 11) - A man died after being struck by an SUV and pinned against a home Thursday in Palmdale, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies were called around 3:30 p.m. to the 38500 block of 35th Street East regarding an assult with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies found a man who had been struck and pinned against a home by a vehicle.
The victim, described as a 27-year-old Hispanic male, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Deputies believe the incident began as a family arugment, when one person got in a champagne color SUV and drove toward them, hitting the victim. The suspect then fled in the vehicle, authorities said.
Shocked neighbors told FOX 11 the could hear screaming.
"I was in the house, and when I heard screaming outside I looked out of the window. I saw my friend crashed into the garage wall and (it) looked like he was actually dead," Lorraine, the victim's friend, said.
Authorities were continuing to search for the suspect Friday, whose identity was not released. The vehicle reportedly has a broken windshield and front end damage.
