SUGGESTED:

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released; police noted he did not live at the apartment building.

An investigation revealed the victim and the suspect became involved in a confrontation in the apartment, leading the suspect to arm himself with a handgun and shoot the victim before fleeing the scene on foot, police said.

The suspect fled the area. The suspect is described only as a 26-year-old man

It is unknown if either man was a student at the university.

The investigation is ongoing.
