Massive brush fire burns Angeles National Forest
The "Fork Fire" is burning parts of the Angeles National Forest near the East Fork area of the San Gabriel Valley.
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - Crews have contained a massive fire that spread across parts of the Angeles National Forest in the San Gabriel Valley.
The "Fork Fire" broke out on July 19 and spread across the East Fork area, spreading to 301 acres in just a few hours. The fire reached full containment on July 28.
When the fire broke out, the Angeles National Forest evacuated campers from the east fork of the San Gabriel River. There have been no evacuations since that time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
