Missing 11-year old Azusa boy found safe
POMONA, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - An 11-year-old Azusa boy in foster care who ran away from the Walnut/Pomona area spent the night with his biological father, who returned him Friday to a Department of Children and Family Services office in Glendora, police said.
The boy last had been seen around 6 p.m. Thursday in front of an apartment complex at 3745 W. Valley Blvd. riding his scooter, the Pomona Police Department reported.
Police circulated his photo and sought public help to find him.
The boy's father was unable to contact DCFS and decided to take him to the nearest department office in the morning, police said.
``The child was in good health, not injured and had not been the victim of an abduction or any crime,'' according to a police statement. ``The child was returned to the custody of DCFS for placement.''
