(FOX 11) - A mom's attempt to surprise her daughter at college went hilariously wrong.
McKenna Pilling was getting ready to move out of her dorm at Utah State University, and her mom decided to surprise her by traveling from New York to help her move out.
But, her mother Deanna's plan didn't go exactly as planned.
McKenna received a selfie from her mom with the caption, 'Look where I am! Where are you?' Deanna was laying in what she thought was her daughter's dorm bed, waiting to surprise her.
But McKenna responded with, 'Where's that?? I'm in my dorm. Please tell me you're not in someone else's dorm.'
Deanna then texted, 'I am in someone's else dorm omg.'
Deanna immediately left the room to find her daughter in the correct room and McKenna tweeted her mom's now infamous text message. The tweet has gone viral with over 14,000 retweets in just a few days.
