MILWAUKEE, WI - Three newborn puppies are recovering after they were found in a trash can in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission, or MADACC, shared a photo on Facebook along with a post explaining what happened.
They said someone brought in the puppies after finding them in a trash can, adding they are lucky to have been found.
The pups are being put in foster care to try and save them because they need around the clock care.
The organization urges people to consider spaying or neutering their animals if they are not prepared to deal with an unwanted litter.
