One killed, one seriously injured following horrific Culver City crash
CULVER CITY, Calif. - A man was killed and another man was seriously injured following a horrific collision at a major intersection in Culver City on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at the busy intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Centinela Avenue just after 5:20 a.m., the Culver City Police Department said.
Arriving first responders discovered one car rolled over and a second vehicle fully involved in flames.
Culver City officers and firefighters, with assistance from Los Angeles City first responders, located a patient trapped inside the rolled vehicle and worked to extricate the patient.
Once outside the vehicle, parademics performed lifesaving efforts. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Good Samaritans pulled the second patient from the burning vehicle before crews arrived. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive, according to police.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor.
No further information was immediately available.
The Culver City Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
