One man dead, another wounded during shooting in Moreno Valley

A man was shot dead and another injured during a shooting in Moreno Valley Saturday night. 

Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Pigeon Pass Road around 11:30 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Once on scene officers located two men who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, the second man was taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department a third man was involved not injured during the assault.

No information about a suspect(s) was released. 

This fatal shootings comes nearly 24 hours after two men were killed in a shooting early Saturday morning.

On August 31st around 1:14 a.m. deputies responded to the 24900 block of Sunnymead Blvd. where they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead on scene and the second victim was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. According to the sheriff’s office both victims were identified but due to their age their identities will not be released to the public.
