OXNARD, Calif. - Oxnard K-9 police officer Koa has retired after six years of service to the City of Oxnard catching bad guys and doing school demonstrations.
Koa will now live a life of stomach rubs and lots of treats with his former Oxnard police partner Rob Caston and his family.
Koa and his partner were one of the teams that helped clear the Borderline Bar and Grill after the mass shooting in November 2018.
The Oxnard Police K-9 Foundation has purchased another K-9 to replace Koa.
