LOS ANGELES - Firefighters across Los Angeles County continue working around the clock amid multiple wildfires burning in the region, described as "apocalyptic."
On Wednesday, one of the fires even turned deadly. Another fire ignited in the Hollywood Hills, while another blaze, called the Palisades Fire, erupted in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighborhood earlier this week.
Pacific Palisades is home to many Hollywood celebrities and athletes, including Jaime Lee Curtis, JJ Redick, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and James Wood.
SUGGESTED: Celebrity residents evacuate as Pacific Palisades wildfire destroys homes
Officials said in an update Wednesday morning that 1,000 structures have been destroyed as the fire continues to grow, fueled by ferocious Santa Ana winds. Residents from Pacific Palisades, to the Santa Clarita, San Gabriel and San Fernando valleys remain under evacuation orders, including some celebrities.

One of those structures damaged in the Palisades Fire includes the home of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. The two starred on MTV’s hit reality show "The Hills," and host "The Speidi Podcast."
The devastating news was shared by Pratt’s sister, Stephanie Pratt, as she shared several posts reacting to the state of the area where the two grew up.
"I am beyond heartbroken for my brother, Heidi and the kids. And to all of our friends and neighbours who have lost their houses today. Just spoke to my dad. He tried to save my brother’s house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do," she said in part in a heartfelt Instagram story.
She later shared that her parents’ home also fell victim to the flames.

Other Celebrities Impacted by the LA wildfires
Ricki Lake
The iconic TV host shared on Instagram that she had lost her "dream home."
"This description ‘dream home’ doesn’t suffice. It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together. We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved malibu for granted, not even for one second. I shared our sunset 🌅 views almost daily with all of you. This loss is immeasurable. It’s the spot where we got married 3 years ago. I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event," she wrote.

The NBA superstar flew home to be with his family evacuated by the Palisades Fire.
Leonard's status was reported by NBA Insider Chris Haynes. Another source confirmed the report with FOX 11.
Halle Berry
"This is from my hood. Look at the sky. That is smoke, not clouds, from a fire that has consumed over 2,900 acres and remains uncontained. It’s left so many homes and buildings without power and killed at least two people, with more left with significant injuries. Please stay safe and informed through NotifyLA!" the Academy Award-winning actress wrote on Instagram.

Jamie Lee Curtis wrote that her "community and possibly my home is on fire," to social media, along with a harrowing image of the wildfires. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING!"
She continued, "It is a terrifying situation and I'm grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze. Neighbors have taken care of neighbors. We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it's particularly shocking. Life on life's terms. If ever there was need for the use of the phrase MY HAND IN YOURS, it is right now. Take care of each other. Stay out of the way and let the firefighters do their work. Pray if you believe in it and even if you don't, pray for those who do."
Mark Hamill
Mark Hamill, a Malibu resident, said he decided to evacuate due to the Palisades Fire.

Paris Hilton
"Heartbroken beyond words.💔 Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.😢 This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London," she wrote on Instagram.

I knew it would be bad- we had to evacuate many times during our life there - but the shock at the whole of the Palisades being destroyed is unthinkably horrific. My daughter and I lived there for most of her childhood and most of her childhood is gone . Her primary school ,every shop or restaurant we used to go to with my parents and Michael’s parents -and devastatingly ,most of her friends homes .My heart is broken," she wrote in a heartfelt caption on social media.
