Passengers call police after wounded man boards Expo train

Passengers on the Expo train were horrified Tuesday morning to see an injured man boarding the train, trailing blood.

Passengers called 911 to tell authorities the man had been shot.

The man told police he was standing on the corner of 28th street and Mont Clair street in Jefferson Park when a black sedan drove by and someone inside the car shot him.

The victim says the shooter appeared to be a teenage boy.

The 28-year-old victim was hit in the neck. He told police he walked almost a mile to Exposition and Crenshaw where he boarded the train.

Police found the man at Exposition and Vermont and called an ambulance for him.

He is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
