LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - A brief police chase ends in a deadly shooting in El Monte.

The El Monte Police Department responded to a call of a person accused of pulling out a gun at a Target in the 3600 block of Peck Road.
The alleged disturbance led to a police chase involving the man accused of pulling the gun, which eventually ended near a Chase bank near Tyler Avenue and Valley Boulevard, CNS reports.
The man ended up being shot and killed by police after ditching the car outside the bank, El Monte PD said.
As of late Monday night, officials have not released the name of the man shot and killed by police.
