Police officer, bystanders rescue pinned driver from burning car

An Alaska man is recovering this morning after being rescued from his burning SUV over the weekend.
The whole thing was caught on police dash-cam.

Sunday afternoon, police in anchorage got the call about an SUV that had crashed and was on fire. When they arrived, they heard the driver screaming for help. His arm was completely pinned underneath the vehicle.

The Anchorage Police officer rushed over to try and free the man. They posted this to their Facebook page on Tuesday.

He couldn't do it by himself...so bystanders jumped in to help him lift the burning SUV.

Once that driver's arm was free, he climbed out the sunroof just before the SUV was engulfed in flames.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
