Suspect who allegedly shot 2 officers arrested
The man accused of shooting two LAPD officers was arrested after a shootout in South Los Angeles. The officers have been released from the hospital.
LOS ANGELES - One man was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly shooting two LAPD officers following an armed robbery in South Los Angeles Friday night.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call about an alleged robbery near the intersection of East 92nd Street and South Central Avenue around 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
When they got there, officers said the man shot at them, hitting two of them.
The LAPD evacuated the laundromat in a nearby strip mall and the shooter ran into a nearby neighborhood.

After officers and SWAT teams searched the area for hours, they found the alleged shooter around 1 a.m. Saturday and took him into custody.
The officers who were shot were both brought to the hospital with minor injuries. The LAPD told FOX 11 that one of the officers was shot in the leg.
Police have not identified the suspect.
