Robbery suspect shot in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif. - An investigation is underway after a robbery suspect was shot in Lancaster Monday. 

It happened just after 9 a.m. in the area near 44400 Sierra Highway. 

The suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment; their condition is not known. 

No deputies were injured, officials said.
