Robbery suspect tries to get away in Waymo car
The Waymo complied with instructions from police to pull over.
LOS ANGELES - A robbery suspect who tried to get away in a Waymo car was arrested by police Monday night.
It happened in Mid-City around 8:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the suspect got into an altercation with a grocery store security guard then got into a Waymo vehicle.
LAPD officers caught up to the driverless car near S. Wilton Place and Country Club, where the Waymo responded to police lights and sirens and pulled over.
