San Bernardino County officials to send Gov. Newsom letter requesting to reopen more businesses

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - San Bernardino County officials say they’re ready to safely reopen more businesses that were closed during the COVID-19 crisis, even if they don’t meet the state’s criteria.

San Bernardino pushing for wider reopening

Many rejoice that things are getting back to normal- but in San Bernardino County they're telling California's governor they're ready for even more.

On Friday, May 8, some retailers and manufacturers were allowed to reopen, with safety guidelines in place, during the first part of the state’s second stage in reopening after several weeks of closures and restrictions meant to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The second part will allow more businesses to open.
