Shots fired after traffic stop in the IE

Shots were fired at police prompting a SWAT team to respond to the area.

Three people were arrested after officials said a suspect shot at police during a traffic stop in San Bernardino overnight. 

The shooting happened just after midnight Tuesday when officers attempted a traffic stop near West Baseline and Berkeley streets. When officers tried to pull the car over, police said a man got out and fired a gun at officers. However, no officers were struck by the gunfire.

San Bernardino Police confirmed to FOX 11 Tuesday that two men and a woman were arrested and charged with attempted murder of a police officer, and added that multiple weapons were recovered from the scene. Their names were not released by officials.

No further information was immediately released by authorities.
