San Pedro woman violently assaulted in her own home

The Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Area Divison is asking the community for help identifying a sexual assault suspect.

Detectives say that on March 5, 2019, a woman was entering her home in the area of 11th Street in the city of San Pedro when a man pushed her inside and violently sexually assaulted her.

The incident happened sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The suspect ran away from the scene after the assault in an unknown direction before police arrived, according to investigators.

Authorities released a composite sketch of the suspect hoping the community can help identify that person. He is described as a Hispanic male adult with black hair, approximately 5-feet 6-inches tall, weighs 150-170 pounds, is between 25-35 years old with a light mustache and unknown tattoos on both arms.
