High winds fan three structure fires in Bloomington

High winds fueled three structures fires in the Bloomington neighborhood in San Bernardino County overnight.

Moderate to strong Santa Ana winds were expected to continue through Thursday afternoon in parts of Southern California, with high-wind warnings and advisories through 3 p.m., the National Weather Service said.

NWS predicts wind speeds will peak Thursday night into Friday, issuing high wind warnings from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. Thursday for the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains and the San Fernando Valley.

In the mountain passes, gusts up to 70 mph were possible, as well as 60 moh wind gusts in the valley and 40 to 50 mph in the Malibu area.

With the incoming strong winds in mind, NWS is warning residents to watch out for downed trees, hazardous fire conditions, hazardous seas, temporary shelters possibly in danger and possible power outages.
