Security guard injured in attempted stabbing at shopping mall in Canoga Park
A security guard at the 'Westfield Topanga & The Village' shopping mall in Canoga Park was injured Friday evening when detaining an attempted stabbing suspect.
LOS ANGELES - A security guard at the 'Westfield Topanga & The Village' shopping mall in Canoga Park was injured Friday evening when detaining an attempted stabbing suspect.
The incident was reported shortly after 7 p.m.

Los Angeles police say the suspect was running through the mall, to different stores, and armed with a weapon when a security guard detained that suspect.

The security guard suffered a laceration to his hand, according to LAPD.
A description of the suspect was not immediately released. No other injuries were reported.
