Los Angeles police investigated a deadly shooting in downtown L.A. Thursday evening in which one person lost their life.
LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police were investigating a deadly shooting at a luxury high rise in downtown Los Angeles Thursday evening.
The shooting occurred at about 6:52 p.m. at the Watermarke Tower Apartments in the 700 block of West Ninth Street near Flower Street.

A man was killed in a deadly shooting at a luxury high rise building in downtown Los Angeles. The suspect remains at large.
The victim who police found in the apartment building's lobby was pronounced dead at the scene, LAPD said.
Some residents were evacuated following the shooting and were allowed to return after midnight.
The gunman remains on the loose. No suspect information was immediately known.

The victim has not been identified but police described him as a black male in his 30s.
LAPD has not released additional information. The investigation is ongoing.
