Small 10-acre Oak Fire in Calabasas now out

The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that a fire broke out in Calabasas Monday morning in the vicinity of the 101 Freeway at Las Virgenes.

The "Oak Fire" was first reported just before 9 a.m. and burned more than 10 acres. 

No injuries were reported, and no structures were lost from this fire.

The two right side eastbound lanes on Highway 101 from Las Virgenes to Mureau and the on-ramp to eastbound Highway 101 will be blocked until later on Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire from progressing forward. Authorities said that some structures were threatened and advised residents in the area to monitor law enforcement's social media accounts for possible evacuation orders.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
